Manchester City vs Arsenal preview: It’s Adebayor, it’s away from home, it’s not easy, plus favourite line-up

Based on what we’ve been reading yesterday but also today, the Chelsea defeat will not be forgotten easily by Arsenal supporters and that’s understandable.
But, Chelsea is history. It doesn’t make sense to keep on asking questions about what went wrong on Sunday. As Tomas Rosicky, Bacary Sagna and Arsene Wenger said, the title race is not over and we have to look forward.

Manchester City
I hate Manchester City. No, not so fast, it’s not “that” sort of hatred, it’s rather frustration because of all teams in the Premiership, they are the team which most of all can exploit our vulnerabilities as the two heavy away defeats we suffered against them in less than a year clearly show.
One big question being asked on tomorrow’s game is whether our boss will stick to his young-ones policy, or whether he will involve some of the “experienced” ones.
Emmanuel Adebayor will play and it’ll be interesting to see how he shakes hands with his former team-mates before kick-off.
Favourite line-up
Fran Merida is suspended so that’s one important player missing already before kick-off. Also, Jack Wilshere is doubtful after suffering an injury with the reserve side.
I don’t know, I’m in the dark as always for the Carling Cup. Maybe something like this could do the trick?
Mannone
Gilbert – Senderos – Silvestre – Traore
Walcott – Eastmond – Ramsey – Wilshere
Vela – Watt
Pre-match Interviews
Manchester City manager Mark Hughes believes there is no reason why Emmanuel Adebayor should not started.
He said:
There is no feeling he won’t play as a consequence of what happened last time. In fact, he’s more likely to play because he had such a huge influence on the game. He has made a statement about what happened before. It was an emotional time and it has been well documented and discussed at length. But it’s in the past now. I don’t think it will happen again.
Arsene Wenger believes our title hopes are far from over despite the 3-0 defeat against Chelsea.
Our boss said:
We are fighters and we have to show that in the next game.
The problem we have to face at the moment is people will not believe in us, so we have to make sure that lack of belief does not diminish our own belief.
That is where we have to be mentally stronger than we were because until now we had some credit, which we earned at the start of the season from the specialists, then we a lose a game, so now it will be harder.
