Arsene Wenger celebrated his 500th league game as Arsenal boss with a deserved victory at the Emirates.
Andrey Arshavin failed to capitalise on a one-on-one chance and mishit a shot when put through, while Cesc Fabregas had a penalty saved for the hosts.
Fabregas played in Arshavin for a great finish (26) and the Russian also hit the bar with a deflected shot, before Aaron Ramsey sealed the win (79).
