The Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is a little worried ahead of the international break as it is a rare event for all his players to return to the club uninjured.
He thinks November is not normally good for Arsenal, and this is usually the month when Arsenal suffer the most from injuries. Already he has lost Gael Clichy and Nicolas Bendtner this month.
“Traditionally, November has not been a good month for us.” said Wenger. “But I explain that by the fact we had more injuries. It is the first period when they kick in.
“It depends on the fixtures too – you can have two or three difficult games in November. You have decisive games in the Champions League and the players go on international duty.
“Now we have that break and all the players fly away so let’s hope they all fly back in good shape. After that we go to Sunderland and that is always a difficult place to go.”
That game is followed by the crucial visit of Chelsea to the Emirates, so Wenger will be hoping he has more luck this November than in previous years.
