Tomas Rosicky denies contract renewal

Tomas Rosicky denies contract renewal, “There are no negotiations running these days”

Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky confirmed he met with Arsene Wenger but denied they discussed his contract now that the Czech International is back from injury.

Speaking to Deniksport.cz, Rosicky said:

I have spoken with Mr Wenger on this matter. It is not the most actual thing, though, and there are no negotiations running these days.

I know that even if I haven’t reached an agreement with Arsenal, then I would still be able to find a new club to play for, although it might sound too self-confident.

The most important thing for me is to stay healthy and I would not like to comment on it any further.”

Speaking on his comeback to the game of football in which he didn’t disappoint expectations, the 29-year old added:

Naturally, it is better now. Although I was training hard, you cannot substitute presence in competitive games.

I’m feeling much better these days. Although I’ve been substituted most recently around the 70th minute I don’t feel tired and easily could play full 90 minutes.

There is no problem with my fitness. I think I am on the right course. Out of the six fixtures I have been in the starting XI three times and three times I appeared as a substitute.

Coach Wenger has been gradually applying the burden on me and I feel that it has been better and better. I am glad that it has been working like that.
